My Two Favorite Things Sunshine and Sunflowers. Two of my favorite things. The sunshine is so warm on my skin, I love to come home at lunch and sit on my deck and soak it all in. Sunflowers are so big, bright and majestic I can stare at them for hours.Welcome to my new stamping blog. I have been a rubber stamper for almost 10 years. I was a Stampin Up demonstrator for two years, but my town was saturated with demonstrators which made it hard to keep up with the requirements to stay a demonstrator. None the less, I am still purchasing their stamps and other companies stamps (it's became an obession) and my room is bursting at the seams. Embellishments....what can I say...I love them. I can't get enough of them. Sometimes I have to force myself to stay home...away from any type of store that carries them...and use what I have. It is really really hard.A few little facts about me and my family, I am 49 years old and am married to a wonderful man. This is a second marriage for both of us. He has a 25 year old son, who just graduated "Order of the Coif" from the University of Illinois law school. He is brilliant. I have a 26 year old son who is currently attending college after losing his job last spring, he received straight A's. I then have a middle son who is 23 years old and a senior at Northern Illinois University majoring in business and IT. He is also engaged to a beautiful young lady and they are getting married next July. I am making the invitations, I think I better get started. And then, there is Alex, my little 13 soon to be 14 year old. He was my little surprise :) and what a great kid. Not that all of our kids aren't great, but there is something about have a child late in life and after you have had some experience raising other kids. You learn to appreciate the time you spend with them, you enjoy all the little annoyances because you know how fast they grow up. I can tell you there are two things in my current future that I am not going to handle very well, one is giving my son away at his marriage and two is taking my youngest to college. My kids are my life. I currently work for county government, but not for long, I plan to retire in January. No I am not old enough and no I don't have enough years in, but I have got to do something creative. So I have been apply for jobs with all the rubber stamping companies in hope that I can join a design team, or demonstrate their products at shows, or whatever I can do involving rubber stamping, papercrafting and products that go with them. My wonderful husband is supporting me all the way. If any one out there knows of a design team I could possible join or a opening for a job, please let me know ;)Well, I do not have any cards scanned into my computer to share tonight, but I will work on them this weekend and see what I can send.Hope to hear from you!May the sunshine warm you and the sunflowers bring you joy.Tammi
